We held our annual general meeting yesterday, and the evening clearly demonstrated a strong local commitment and great interest in the work of the business council. Over 100 participants attended, and more than 70 local companies were represented – an attendance we are both pleased and proud of.
The Business Council in a time of clear priorities, new forces and an increased focus on dialogue and transparency. This was clearly expressed during the general meeting, where many relevant and critical questions were asked from the floor.
We see it as a sign of health that our members engage, challenge us and hold us accountable. The open and respectful debate is essential for us to develop and ensure that our efforts continue to create value for the local business community.
Local forces created the perfect framework
A big thank you goes out to Falkenhøj, who provided a beautiful setting for the evening – and who went the extra step by consistently using local suppliers. The participants were offered coffee from Costa Kalundborg, broke from Mejnerts and beer from RINSING. The evening's three-course menu was prepared and presented by Mia Reesen (Tabernacle) and helped make the experience very special. It is always one of our greatest joys when local businesses and enthusiasts come together and create something that is completely unique to Kalundborg.
During dinner, the conversation was lively around the tables, and experiences, ideas and business cards were exchanged - exactly the network and relational value that is our goal in the business council.
Election results show great interest
The commitment was also clearly expressed in the election for the board of directors. Here we ended up in a close election, as four current board members wanted to run again, while two new candidates ran. It was a very close race, where a few votes were decisive.
Congratulations to the newly elected and re-elected board members:

- Michael Skovgaard Rasmussen, MENU Kalundborg (re-elected)
- Andreas Hastrup, Avnsøgård (newly elected)
- Heidi Broskov Sørensen (re-elected)
At the same time, we will correct a big and well-deserved thanks to Charlotte Balslev and Torben Berner for their many years of commitment and significant efforts on the board. Their contributions have helped to shape and strengthen the work of the business council over several years.
We look forward to continuing our collaboration with the re-elected board members and to warmly welcome the new members to the board.

A unified secretariat
From the secretariat, the entire new team participated: Caspar, Simone, Maria, Amanda, Kristina as well as the latest addition Britt, who is currently doing an internship with us. It was a great pleasure to experience the members' curiosity and engagement in the dialogue with the entire team.
We would like to say a big thank you to everyone who participated and contributed to an engaged, constructive and memorable general meeting. The support and interest give us both motivation and responsibility – and we look forward to continuing to work with you for a strong and vibrant business community in the Kalundborg region.
